Acquired by James Purdey and Sons, a Richemont Company, in 2018. Dylan continues to act as a Consultant to the new owners

Previous experience included being Head of the Game and Wildlife Department of the Sparsholt College creating the first 3 year Diploma in Game and Wildlife Management – which still continues today – some 33 years following its creation.

“I have known Dylan for more than 30 years and his abilities as an instructor were instrumental in helping me overcome many of the bad habits that I had taught myself as a teenager growing up on a farm.  His easy and engaging manner, technical expertise and insightful reading of the instructee have also enabled my two children to acquire a level of competence and love of shooting rather quicker than I did.”
Marcus Moir | Minton Partners

“What is remarkable is that, even after me enjoying 30 years of tuition from various experts and following that up with hours of practice at the shooting ground, Dylan can still find ways to improve my accuracy and consistency. He really is the best coach out there – and he’s a really nice guy to go with it…”(for a Welshman!)
Kevin Gaskell

“Having shot all my life, I could not believe how dramatic the improvement was in my shooting after the lessons I had with Dylan.  Not only did my shooting improve but also my enjoyment of the sport. I heartily recommend having lessons, it will be time well spent! – Indeed, my partner Lena is now taking lessons with the Welsh wizard!!!”
Robert Byng | Wrotham Park

“Dylan is a wonderful man to have a lesson with. So experienced, and yet so calm, friendly and encouraging. After a lesson with Dylan you always think you have found some proper pearls of wisdom to help with your shooting.”
Paul White | Frogmore

“There are plenty of shooting coaches.  Quite a number can teach you how to shoot clays, but there is a very small group who can teach you how to shoot game, and Dylan Williams can do both. His charming and cerebral style combined with an ability to see not just the outcome, but the required change to the process that can lead to an improved and sustainable outcome, is rare and has allowed him to help thousands of shots over many years, both beginners and experts alike.”
Jeremy Young | London

Within the shooting industry no other entity has helped raise over £30 million for charity, which was achieved since 1991 whilst Dylan was at the helm. It is a testament to the success of the events hosted that many enjoyed 15 to 20 years of consecutive success, including Great Ormond Street, Hospital, Peter Jones Foundation and The Willow Foundation.

“As a small Charity with national importance, we organise many fund-raising events, but without question one of our most successful is the annual Charity Shoot at the Royal Berkshire with Dylan in the ‘hot seat’. His unbridled knowledge, enthusiasm and clear zest for life cannot fail to enthuse those around him and quite simply it would not be the success it is without Dylan hosting the day and running the auction. I hope he keeps postponing his retirement as that day will be our loss!”
Jock Alexander OBE | Chief Executive, Navy Wings

“We have been working with Dylan on our Charity Shoot Day since its inception almost five years ago. Not only has Dylan been an incredible and witty host, ensuring our guests have an excellent time, but we have always been amazed by Dylan’s commitment to ensuring our charity raises as much as possible at every event. Dylan has helped us to raise thousands of pounds over the years by leading the fundraising activities and auctions at our events.  Dylan knows his audience and has worked with us before, during and after the event to share tips and advice on how we can continue to raise more each year. When booking with the Royal Berkshire Shooting School, we always make sure that Dylan is available!”
Lorna Poultney | Muscular Dystrophy UK

“Our Willow charity days are totally enhanced by his presence, Any Shoot Day would be imperfect without the voice, guidance, encouragement, and enabling us to raise vital monies in a relaxed and genial atmosphere. We have so much to thank him for.”
Megs Wilson | Co Founder and Life President, Willow Foundation

“Dylan has been hosting our charity events at the RBSS for over 10years. Starting off the day with his safety briefing, he manages the whole day and makes sure that all guests have a great day. The brilliant way he controls the room at our charity auctions have made fundraising at our events seem easy.  Our guests return year after year and this is a testament to Dylan and his team.”
Ashraf Patel MBE | Associate Specialist, Breast Surgery, The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust
